Q. What time is check in?
Check in begins at 4:00 p.m. eastern time. Your selected property will be cleaned and ready for you at this time. Due to tight cleaning schedules, accessing the property before 4:00 p.m. cannot be granted.
Q. What time is check out?
Check out is at 10:00 a.m. eastern time. Due to tight cleaning schedules, checking out after 10:00 a.m. cannot be granted.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A cancellation fee of $150.00 will be charged if you cancel for any reason. Bookings canceled at least 90 days before the start date of your stay will receive a 100% refund minus the $150 cancellation fee. Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start date of your stay will receive a 50% refund minus the $150 cancellation fee. Bookings canceled within 60 days of your scheduled check in date will only receive a 50% refund so long as we are able to get the property re-booked. We will diligently attempt to rebook the property in any and all circumstances. Please consider purchasing Travel Insurance at check out, or use the Travel Insurance program of your choice to protect you and your vacation investment!
Q. Can I bring my pets?
Dogs are allowed in some of our properties for an additional non-refundable pet fee. Please call our office for a list of houses that are “pet friendly” and the pet fee will vary from home to home. Also, pets must be pre-approved based on breed and weight before booking. Pets are strictly prohibited from getting on any furniture including the beds. Upon your departure at 10:00 am, we perform a check-out inspection, and if it is discovered that pets have been allowed on the furniture or beds, your FULL DEPOSIT will be forfeited or a $500.00 cleaning fee will be charged to your credit card. Guests found to have brought pets to a “pet friendly” property and did not pay the designated pet fee or communicated with Baytowne Vacation Rentals of the inclusion of pets during their stay will be subject to paying the full pet fee plus a penalty fee. Guests found to have brought pets to a non-pet friendly property will be subject to immediate forfeiture of their security deposit and a $500 cleaning fee, and then asked to vacate the property immediately. Q. What are the age requirements for booking?
The minimum age required to book one of our properties if 25 years of age or older. No rental will be made to singles or vacationing students under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian during the entire length of stay. Any reservation made under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money. Violators will be evicted.
Q. Is there a maximum number of people allowed per house?
Each of our properties have a maximum number of guests allowed for nightly occupancy and must not be exceeded. If a property shows “Sleeps 8” or “Sleeps 14” then the maximum occupancy must not exceed that number. Please see the property page to see how many the property sleeps. If you wish to bring additional guests over the maximum allowance, then please contact us before booking. See the property pages for more info.
Q. Is smoking allowed?
Smoking of any kind, including vaping, is strictly prohibited inside all of our properties, and will result in forfeiture of your deposit if not adhered to. Smoking is allowed on the exterior of the property, however, all windows and doors to the property must remain closed during times of smoking.
Q. Are parties or events allowed?
For the protection of the properties in our vacation rental collection–NO PARTIES or SPECIAL EVENTS are allowed without pre-approval first and an additional event fee if approved. Gatherings, such as family reunions are perfectly okay as long as the number of guests do not exceed maximum occupancy designated by Baytowne Vacation Rentals for safety and liability purposes. “Quiet Time” at our homes is from 9:00 PM, or dark, to 8:00 AM. Please practice the Golden Rule, respect your neighbors and have fun!
Q. Are Weddings allowed at the properties?
We are more than happy to provide booking information if you intend to hold your wedding at one of our properties. Please contact us directly for more details.
Q. Can I take the blankets, towels, and/or sheets provided to the beach?
Blankets, Towels, and Sheets provided in the property ARE NOT to be taken out of the house and used on the beach to be used for “beach blankets”. Additional charges will apply if this is discovered after check out. Please bring your favorite beach towels or beach blankets with you to use. Call us to ask about the nearest store to purchase beach towels and/or blankets.
Q. Do you supply linens and amenities?
For your convenience, we provide sheets and an initial supply of towels, wash cloths, hand towels, and dish towels, toilet tissue, and soap bars. Please let us know when making your reservation how many guests will be staying in the unit so the proper linens can be supplied. The towels and linens are not to be used on the beach!
Q. What Items do I need to bring?
We will supply you an initial set of Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, and Soaps. You will need:
- Extra toilets tissue, bath soap/shower gel, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, plastic kitchen trash bags, coffee filters, condiments, any special cooking utensils, salt, pepper, spices, beach towels and chairs, and sun screen.
Baytowne Vacation Rentals and owner can assume no responsibility for any articles left on the premises by guest. Any items requesting to be returned are subject to shipping costs to be paid by the guest or a $35.00 service fee, whichever is greater.
Q. What if I’m not satisfied with my property on arrival?
[Sight Unseen] Baytowne Vacation Rentals strives to accommodate our renters and properly convey our properties by using professional photography, high definition video tours, 3D virtual tours, aerial photography, and digital maps to display the property features and location to the fullest. We will not give refunds or make price adjustments if you find the property unacceptable to your expectations upon arrival. We manage privately owned vacation homes which are furnished to the individual owners’ preferences, and no two properties are alike. Rates, descriptions, bed sizes, inventories, decor and furnishings are subject to change without notice.
Q. What if the property I’m staying in is also for sale?
From time to time our properties, owned by private owners, will go up for sale. In the event the home you are renting is listed “for sale”, we may be required by the owner to show the property to qualified buyers during your stay. We realize that you are on vacation and have invested a large sum of money for your reservation, so we will absolutely make every effort to show the property at a convenient time for you with a proper 24+ hour notice. We will always attempt to reach you by phone, text, and/or email first before authorizing in-person showings. In the event the property sells in advance of your arrival and should no longer be a rental unit, we will make every effort to find a similar comparable accommodation, and if none are available, a complete refund of your deposit and advance payment will be made. You may contact us in advance to ask if your booked unit is for sale.
